With Online Store 2.0 and compatible themes, merchants can add sections directly to product page templates.
Use the theme editor to add a section to default product template or add a section to new product template.
By default, all products will be assigned to the Default product template. Create templates and assign them to products to have distinct sections for different products.
Add a section to default product template
In the theme editor (Customize), use the page selector to open Products, then Default product.
In the left sidebar, select (+) Add section.
Add a section to new product template
In the theme editor (Customize), use the page selector to open Products, then select [+] Create template.
Use the provided field to add a Name for your new template.
Confirm that Default product is selected in the Based on dropdown, then select Create template.
In the left sidebar, select (+) Add section.
To assign products to created templates, go to the Products admin and select the template from the Theme template dropdown. You can also use the bulk editing features to add the template to multiple products at once.
Created templates will only be accessible in the Products admin if the theme is published
