The Blog posts section allows you to display images and text from your four most recent posts.
To specify the "preview" text that appears for each post, use Shopify’s excerpt function in the post editor (Online store > Blog posts > Blog post > Add excerpt).
Add a blog posts section to your home page
Navigate to the Sections tab in the theme editor and select Add section > Blog posts.
Add headings for the section
Include a Heading and Subheading using the provided text fields.
Select the blog to display
Assign the blog you want to feature through Select blog. While many stores maintain only one blog, some create multiple to better categorize information—including customer stories, tips, tutorials, and more.
Display up to 12 blog posts on the home page
Use the Posts slider to control how many articles are displayed on the home page.
Choose which post details to include
Show author
Enable Show author to include the publishing staff member's name for each post.
Show date published
Include a date published label for the included posts.
Show post comments count
Include a label for the total amount of comments provided by customers by enabling this setting.
Show blog excerpt
Rather than displaying the entire blog post, enable this setting to include only the Blog's excerpt. Excerpts can be managed in the post editor of your Shopify admin.
Show post tags
Include a compilation of the blog tags included in the posts. Tags can be added and managed in the post editor of your Shopify admin.
Adjust section styling settings
Customize the appearance of the Buttons and Background color.
Button styles
Selecting the Primary button style will show the Primary accent color (under Theme settings > Colors > Primary accent and Primary button text), while the Secondary button style will show the Secondary accent color.
Background color
The Default background color matches your chosen background (Themes settings > Colors > Background), and the Alternate background is a slight mixture of your Default background color and the Primary accent color.
