Like the footer on a document or report, a storefront's footer contains the information listed at the bottom of a page. Often the footer is the area where customers expect to find broad links, like a sort of information desk.
Access footer settings through the theme editor
Go to the theme editor (Customize), then open Footer.
Handy comes with a newsletter subscription field that appears in the footer of your store. Check Show newsletter to activate it. All email addresses collected by this form will be added to your customer list (Customers in the Shopify admin) with the tag accepts_marketing.
Show social accounts
To include links to your social accounts in your footer, click Enable social accounts.
Connect the social accounts to the theme in the Social media section of the Theme settings.
Show payment icons
To display payment icons in your footer, select Enable payment options. Enable and manage your payment methods through the Shopify admin under the Payments portion of the Settings.
Add content blocks to the footer
Include additional content for the footer by selecting [+] Add content. The options to use here are Rich text, Customer links, and Menu. These blocks can be rearranged by dragging the block with the cursor.
Add up to nine blocks using this footer feature
Use the Rich text option to display a text block. Add the Heading using the text field, then the Content using the rich text field. Include up to two Rich text blocks in the footer.
Include links for your customers to access and manage their account. This block will display a Login and Register link if Customer accounts have been enabled in the Shopify admin. Include an optional Heading using the provided text field.
Feature menus from your Navigation admin with this content option. Connect the desired menu by clicking Select menu.
If menus featured in this content block have nested items (multiple tiers), only the first item will appear.
