The header is the rectangular area that runs across the top of your store containing your logo, navigation, account login, and cart. It appears above each page, promoting your company's brand and making it recognizable to your customers. This is a static section and cannot be repositioned.
Use the theme editor to upload the logo and set up the navigation menu (including mega navigation menus) for your header.
Access theme editor settings for the header
Go to the theme editor (Customize), then open Header to access these settings.
Upload the logo
A store’s logo provides branding for your site and a clickable link to return to the homepage.
By default, Handy will display your store name as your logo. To replace it, click the Select image button and locate the file to use. The best dimensions for images to use here are 400 x 200px.
Custom logo width
Enter a Custom logo width (in pixels) to make adjustments to the width of the logo image. The height will remain proportional to the width, so no adjustments to the height are needed.
This setting helps to accommodate Retina screens, which have a pixel density double that of non-Retina screens. Upload a logo that is 400px wide, for example, then set the width to 200px, for the logo to look sharp on both Retina and non-Retina devices.
Mobile logo image
Consider uploading a separate Mobile logo image to better suit the mobile display of the header. For instance, if the logo includes text that is not legible for smaller screens, upload another version of the logo that will take up less space in the mobile navigation.
Just like the desktop logo, set a Custom mobile logo width (in pixels), allowing you to constrain your logo (and make it retina-compatible).
Set up the navigation menu
Under Navigation, connect the menu to display in the header. By default, it will display the Main menu, but you can connect any menu by clicking Change.
To edit links in the chosen menu, use the Edit menu shortcut to access the Navigation admin.
Create mega navigation menus
Convert a dropdown menu to a mega navigation under Content. Add blocks, then connect the menu item to convert a regular dropdown menu to a mega navigation.
Select [+] Add mega-navigation to get started.
You will need a dropdown to complete this task, so create a dropdown using the Navigation settings
Select a menu item to assign the mega-nav
Use the Menu item field to identify the menu item to convert into a mega navigation.
Display collection images in the mega navigation
With this setting enabled, Handy will pull collection images from the Products > Collections admin. A minimum of one collection must be present in the mega-nav links for its image to carry through.
