The Collection page displays all of the products in a given collection. Compose and organize collections through the Shopify admin, then customize your collection pages in Pacific's theme editor.
Use the theme editor to select a layout style, arrange the rows and columns, display the collection image, activate sorting and filters, and enable the stock level indicator for the Collection page.
Access collection page settings
Customize your Collection pages by selecting opening Collections then Default collection with the page selector.
Select a layout style
Choose the Layout for your collection pages from the dropdown menu at the top. Pacific's collection pages come with two different layout styles: Grid and Collage.
The Collage option is best if your product images have diffferent aspect ratios (height and width dimensions). If all the product images are the same dimensions, the results will be the same for layouts.
Select a pagination method
Select either Standard pagination or Jump-to-page pagination to control how multiple pages are accessed and displayed.
Arrange the rows and columns
Use the Rows (1-12) and Products per row (2, 3, or 4) sliders to control the product grid on your collection pages.
Display the collection image
Select Show collection image to include this image on the Collection page.
To set the Collection image, go to Products > Collections > Edit collection
Images used here should be 2000 x 2000px.
Activate sorting and filters
Pacific's collection page provides tools for customers to reorder the sequence of products (sorting) and select criteria for the products they are looking for (filters).
Sorting
This feature allows customers to sort products in a different order than they appear by default (e.g. Featured, Price: Low to High, Price: High to Low, A-Z, Newest to Oldest, etc.).
Activate Enable sorting to use this feature.
Filters
With the latest release of Pacific, merchants can use the platform-based faceted filtering system.
Shopify: How to set up filters
Activate Enable filtering to use this feature.
Tag filters
Pacific versions 1.0.0-4.7.2 included a Tag filter. This has been replaced by the more sophisticated platform filters for OS 2.0 and we recommend switching to this system when possible.
The Tag filter can be enabled or deactivated with the Enable tag filtering setting in the Default collection page template's main settings.
Enable the stock level indicator
Pacific provides a Stock level indicator that accompanies your products, encouraging customers to purchase quickly when supplies are limited.
Check Enable indicator, then adjust the slider below to identify when the warning will appear (Show warning when stock is below).
