If you haven’t yet launched your store, but want to let your visitors know that you’ll be opening soon, you can enable and customize your Password page.
Use the Preferences to activate the password page, then use the theme editor to access settings for password page, display social icons, add a background image, and gather customer emails for the password page.
Activate the password page
To temporarily conceal your storefront from the public, go to Preferences in your Online store. Select Enable password.
Access settings for password page
To access the password page settings, go to the theme editor (Customize) and select Password page from the page dropdown.
When this loads, a Password pages section should appear under Sections in the sidebar.
Display social icons
Feature icon links to your social media accounts by enabling Show social icons. The URLs for these accounts can be set up in the Theme settings under Social media.
Add a background image
Click Select image to locate and upload a high-resolution image for the password page background. This image will expand to fill the page, so larger dimensions will reduce image quality loss.
Gather customer emails
Customize the text that appears with the newsletter feature using the Newsletter text rich text field.
