You can connect your popup to MailChimp from your Pixelpop dashboard, within the popup editor, or from your Account page.
Connecting from the dashboard
After you’ve created an Email Signup popup, you can connect it to a MailChimp list by clicking the purple Select mailing list button right below your popup:
Note: The Select mailing list button only will appear if your popup has not yet been connected with MailChimp yet.
This will open an Email Collection window. Under Sync with mailing service, select Mailchimp:
Choosing Mailchimp will open a window where you can log into Mailchimp and allow Pixelpop to access your Mailchimp account.
Next, select the mailing list you created in Mailchimp from the dropdown menu. You may also choose whether you want to Require double opt-in for new signups. If activated, this will require recipients to opt-in to your mailing list via a confirmation email from Mailchimp before they are subscribed to your list.
Note: Check with the laws regarding double opt-in in your region.
Click Save changes. Your email popup will now sync any emails it collects with your Mailchimp mailing list. Click here for tips on creating meaningful and effective email campaigns.
Connecting from the popup editor
If you’re creating a new popup or editing an existing Email Signup popup, you can enable email syncing with Mailchimp from within the editor. Under Options, click Connect:
This will open the same dialogue box pictured above where you can log into Mailchimp, select your mailing list, and sync.
Connecting from the Account page
You can also manage your email syncing from the Account Settings on your Account page.
Click Connect next to Mailchimp and log in to your account. Remember that when connecting to Mailchimp from your Account page, you still need to go to your dashboard and popup editor to customize your Email Signup popup.
